Noise Control in Clean Rooms: Techlite’s Clean Panel Solution

In advanced manufacturing, research, and technology, clean rooms are indispensable for maintaining environments free of contaminants. While particulate control often takes center stage, noise management is equally critical. At Techlite Acoustics, we’re dedicated to delivering acoustic solutions that not only maintain cleanliness but also optimize noise levels. Our latest innovation, the Techlite Clean Panel, is specifically designed to meet the stringent demands of clean rooms, ensuring a harmonious balance between cleanliness and acoustic control.

Why Noise Control Matters in Clean Rooms

  •  Precision and Accuracy in Operations:

Clean rooms are vital in industries where precision is key, such as semiconductor manufacturing and biotechnology. Excessive noise can interfere with sensitive instruments, leading to measurement errors and operational disruptions. Our Techlite Clean Panel addresses this by minimizing noise, allowing for the accurate and uninterrupted functioning of delicate equipment.

  •  Worker Health and Safety:

High noise levels can negatively impact worker concentration and health. Clean rooms demand focus for intricate tasks, and distractions from noise can lead to costly mistakes. By integrating the Techlite Clean Panel, noise levels are significantly reduced, promoting a safer and more productive work environment.

  •  Compliance with Regulations:

Many industries with clean rooms are bound by strict regulations, including noise level limits. The Techlite Clean Panel is designed to help your facility stay compliant with these standards while maintaining optimal performance and cleanliness.

  •  Description:

The Techlite Acoustic’s Clean Panel is available in a variety of sizes up to 24” x  48” x 3” and can be custom-sized for your application. They are wrapped in PVC film with white or blue as the standard colors (other colors optional). The standard foam core is comprised of 2” thick open-cell melamine acoustic foam, with the film skin permanently heat-sealed around the edges. The panels can be mounted in U-channels, arranged inside machine cavities, bonded to walls, or hung from ceilings.

  • Airborne Particle Test Results:

To ensure suitability for clean room environments, the Techlite Clean Panel underwent rigorous testing. The panel was particle-tested "at rest" in an ISO-6/class 1000 clean room using a Climet 150T laser particle counter. The results are as follows:

  • Conclusion:

Based on the test data, the Techlite Clean Panel is suitable for static use in ISO-5/class 100 clean rooms, making it an excellent choice for environments requiring both particulate and noise control.

Key Strategies for Noise Control in Clean Rooms

  • Sound Absorption Panels:

The Techlite Clean Panel excels in reducing noise by absorbing sound waves, thereby minimizing reverberation. This is crucial for maintaining a quiet, controlled environment. Our panels are engineered to be clean room-compatible, ensuring no particle shedding or contamination.

  •  Vibration Isolation:

Equipment-induced vibrations contribute significantly to noise pollution. By using the Techlite Clean Panel in conjunction with vibration isolation systems, noise is effectively reduced at the source, ensuring that your clean room remains both quiet and compliant.

  •  Customized Acoustic Solutions:

Every clean room has unique requirements. Techlite Acoustics offers tailored acoustic solutions, from initial noise assessments to the design and installation of customized soundproofing systems. Our Techlite Clean Panel can be adapted to meet the specific needs of your clean room environment.

  •  Recommendations for Use

To maintain the effectiveness of the Techlite Clean Panel, follow these guidelines:

    •  Cleaning: Use isopropyl-impregnated cleanroom texwipes to gently wipe the panels.
    • Replacement: If the PVC film is punctured, replace the panel immediately to maintain its integrity.
    • Installation: Handle with care during installation to prevent damage to the PVC film.

 Conclusion

Noise control in clean rooms is essential for maintaining the precision and safety of operations. Techlite Acoustics’ Clean Panel offers a robust solution, combining advanced acoustic properties with clean room compatibility. Our commitment to quality ensures that your clean room remains not only clean but also quiet, fostering an environment where excellence thrives.
