TECHLITE® Acoustics offer a wide range of different sound-absorptive treatments to reduce room reverberance and other acoustic anomalies inside of buildings. Have you ever eaten at a noisy restaurant and wonder why you cannot hear someone sitting directly across the table from you? Have you ever attended a lecture where the speaker has a microphone yet you still could not make out the words? Have you ever worked in an open-office environment where noise-related distractions prevented you from being your most productive self?
Too many reflective surfaces in a space result in excessive reverberance, unwanted echoes and diminish speech intelligibility to the point of causing annoyance and overall discomfort. In today’s modern world, concrete, glass and stainless steel are the aesthetics of architectural choice. With the visual-trend leaning so heavily on hard, reflective surfaces in any given building space, with the inclusion of such finishes stems new challenges – including higher noise levels and increased, excessive room reverberance.
TECHLITE® Pyramid Panels are a perfect option to reduce echo and reverberation whilst maintaining a unique architectural feature for the specific space, whether treating recording studios, control rooms, music rooms or open-office areas. The unique pyramid geometry provides exceptional acoustical performance and sparks an immediate visual interest. At available 2″, 3″ or 4″ thicknesses (custom thicknesses and dimensions available upon request), Pyramid Panels can easily be suspended from the ceiling or direct-fixed to walls. Once applied, TECHLITE’S highly sound-absorptive (100% absorptive in the speech frequencies at 4″ thick) Pyramid Panels create a visually-pleasing, acoustically enhanced environment, greatly improving speech intelligibility thus promoting a comfortable acoustical profile within the space. For increased low-frequency performance, we recommend installing the Pyramids on a tracked wall system, whereas the track was to provide airspace between wall and wall panel of sufficient depth.
