The Tranquility Brought On By Good Acoustics In An Office Environment, Education Facility Or Commercial Space Contributes To Our General Day To Day Well-Being. Poor-Performing Acoustical Environments Adversely Affect Health, Communication, Safety, Productivity And Learning.

TECHLITE’s Wide Range Of High-Performing Acoustic Ceiling Products Delivers Exceptional Acoustic Performance And Provides Overall Comfort While Creating An Aesthetically Pleasing Environment.

TECHLITE® Linear Ceiling Baffles, or Acoustic Baffles as they are commonly referred to, are a great non-intrusive architectural solution to incorporate sound absorptive treatment into any given room, while only partially covering up the structural and/or finished ceiling like that of standard ceiling grid and tile systems. The option to suspend sound-absorptive treatment as baffles from the structural and/or architecturally-finished ceiling offers design flexibility as well as provides a plethora of acoustic solutions related to the architectural design. Acoustic sound absorptive baffles are meant to be suspended vertically thus maximizing the exposed surface area of the treatment, making TECHLITE® Linear Ceiling Baffles an economical and effective solution for many applications, ideally suited for larger, noisier spaces such as gymnasiums, schools, indoor pools and aquatic centers, lobbies, restaurants, dog kennels, churches, open office environments and much more.

TECHLITE® Linear Ceiling Baffles can be fabricated up to 8′ long and 4′ wide; however standard size measures in at 12″ (1′) x 96″ (8′) at 2″ thick. Different installations exist to vertically suspend the baffles, such as direct-glued to structure, c-channel and the most common aircraft cable from corkscrew hangers. They are available as 100% melamine foam, or for high-abuse areas can be covered front and back with an 11lb/ft, 1/16″ layer of impact-resistant fiberglass board wrapped with any breathable, acoustically-transparent fabric of your choosing such as by Guilford of Maine, Carnegie, Maharam, etc.

Here at TECHLITE® Acoustics, we understand that acoustic products must fit seamlessly within your architectural space. That is why we offer a range of designs, sizes and virtually any color that is out there to suit your architectural needs.

Sound Absorption

Sound Absorption Testing to ASTM Standard C423-09a indicates a better than 90% absorption coefficient at a frequency of 2000 Hz when using 2” thick TechLite® foam. Combined with a Class A fire rating, excellent thermal insulating value, its light weight and low toxicity, TechLite® is an excellent choice for your application.
